I like his “total history” term. I think about that too, how our internet roots are archived and searchable for all our own kids to see, and how we’ll all still have Facebook pages when we’re 80 (or 90, or 120). It really does mark a new dawn of some kind, though it’s probably tempting to overestimate the impact it will all have on the personae of future generations in the near term. Some day an internet-ish total-history network will be turned into a collective on-line extension of our own brains’ memory, and *that* will change things. Sweeeet.
